A seasoned performer – at The Bowery Poetry Club New York, Melbourne International Arts Festival, Melbourne Writers Festival, La Mama Poetica, plus many more – Paul’s reading promises to be something special.

"Mitchell is a terse and observant writer, as alive to the particulars of Aussie idiom and experience as Tim Winton, but less showy ... It's hard to wrote about the thwarts and flaws of conventional masculinity without coming across as either too harsh or too sentimental. Mitchell succeeds in doing so." The Age reviewing We. Are. Family..

“Mitchell’s writing is challenging, exhilarating and touched with a deep sense of humanity” - Tony Birch, winner of the Victorian Premier’s Literary Award for Indigenous Writing for Ghost River

Our first book launch!

For our first book launch, we have the honour of presenting Lucy Durneen's fabulous first collection of short fiction - Wild Gestures - published by Aussie independent, Midnight Sun.

It is hard to describe Durneen's stories because they are so rich and vibrant; there is just so much going on. With brilliant characters, unexpected worlds, raw honesty, and sensory extravagance, Durneen slices straight through to the heart with her dazzling word-play. There is darkness and pain but, also, an almost whimsical optimism at the heart of these stories, leaving the reader in awe at the everyday beauty of life and love.
